Lemsip products not suitable for vegetarians are: Lemsip Max Cold & Flu Capsules, Lemsip Max Sinus Capsules and Lemsip Flu 12 Hour Capsules.
The gelatin in Lemsip Capsules is animal-derived.
Lemsip contains decongestants which work by constricting the blood vessels, this action may worsen raised blood pressure/hypertension. Therefore Lemsip should not be taken by people with a history of raised blood pressure/hypertension.
Lemsip contains decongestants which work by constricting the blood vessels, this action may worsen the symptoms of Raynaud's Disease. Therefore Lemsip should not be taken by people with Raynaud's Disease.
Lemsip should be avoided by people with a history of coronary heart disease, cardiac failure, or any other heart problem.
People with asthma should discuss the use of Lemsip with their doctor prior to using any of the products.
Lemsip should be avoided by people with a history of an overactive thyroid/hyperthyroidism as the active decongestants in the products may worsen symptoms. This is not the case for underactive thyroid/hypothyroidism sufferers. For further advice, please see your doctor or pharmacist.

Some of the active ingredients may be secreted in the breast milk. Lemsip is not recommended in people who are breast feeding
Lemsip sachets do contain sugar, however Lemsip Capsules are sugar free. Please check with your Doctor before using any of our products.
All Lemsip products are gluten free and will not exacerbate Coeliac Disease.
The Lemsip range is free from lactose and may be taken by people with a lactose intolerance.
Lemsip should be prepared with hot, but not boiling water.
Lemsip should only be prepared as per the instructions, preparation with cold water may result in abnormal mixing of ingredients and is not recommended. Lemsip should be prepared with hot, but not boiling water.
Some Lemsip products contain ibuprofen so always read the leaflet. If in doubt, seek advice from your doctor. People should not take more than one product which contains paracetamol at any one time. People should also not take more than one product which contains ibuprofen at any one time.
There are no specific known reactions between Lemsip and prescribed antibiotics. However it is recommended that your doctor is consulted when you are considering taking other medications with prescribed antibiotics.
Lemsip is not suitable for patients taking antidepressants.
